商务英语专业以培养具有较扎实的英语功底、宽阔的国际视野、专业的国际商务知识与跨文化商务交际技能的双语应用型、复合型商务英语人才为目标。本专业现有教师28名，教授3名，副教授4名，外籍教师4名；近三年来教师在各类学术期刊上发表论文20余篇，主持4项科研课题，编撰出版了《商务英语教程》、《英汉海洋经济词典》等一批特色教材与专著。50%的教师为具有经、贸、管等专业背景的双师型教师，指导学生获得“亿学杯”全国商务英语实践技能大赛三等奖。近两年毕业生平均就业率98.45%，每年均有学生被高端外企聘用，多名学生考取墨尔本大学，英国得萨里大学，湘潭大学等国内外知名大学硕士研究生。

The goal of Business English major is to train bilingual applied and compound business English talents with solid English skills, wide international horizons, professional international business knowledge and cross-cultural business communication skills. There are 28 professional teachers, including 3 professors, 4 associate professors, and 4 foreign teachers. In the past three years, they have published more than 20 papers in various academic journals, presided 4 scientific research topics, published a number of textbooks and monographs such asEnglish for International BusinessandEnglishtoChineseDictionary inMarineEconomy. 50% of the teachers are double-qualified teachers with professional backgrounds in economics, trade, and management. And they guided students to win the third prize of the "Yi Xue Cup" National Business English Practice Skills Competition (Guangdong Division). In the past two years, the average employment rate of graduates has been 98.45%. Every year, graduates are hired by superior foreign companies. Many students have been admitted to prestigious universities at home and abroad for postgraduate study, such as the university of Melbourne, the University of Surrey, and Xiangtan university.
